Seeking Interventional Cardiologist (Academics in Texas)

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to be part of a team of core faculty, dedicated to address the health disparities of this region, and in addition, play a role in the development of a very young set of clinical and educational programs; that includes a 10-10-10 residency program. 

To accomplish this, TTUHSC El Paso and Tenet Healthcare collaborated in developing a 108 bed teaching hospital designed to serve and educate medical students, nursing students and resident physicians.

The position requires:

 Minimum Qualifications:

• M.D./D.O.
• Licensed in Texas or eligible for an unrestricted medical License in the State of Texas
• Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program
• Board eligible for certification by American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Diseases
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Experience and demonstrated interest in teaching students and residents
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program
• Board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Board certified in Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine
