Psychiatry Role with Addiciton Fellowship Needed in MI

Job Description:

We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatry Physician to join our team in a supervisory role in the greater Detroit area. The ideal physician will be board-certified in psychiatry. Addiciton fellowship is a bonus for this role. Experience in post-acute / long-term care facilities is also useful but not mandatory. You will see 12-15 patients per day in these facilities. 

Responsibilities:

· Provide high-quality psychiatric evaluation and treatment for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

· Collaborate with mid-level providers (NPs, PAs) and co-sign documentation where necessary.

· Participate in the development of individualized care plans to support recovery, stability, and reduced re-hospitalization.

· Serve as a resource to interdisciplinary teams in managing complex behavioral and psychiatric cases.

· Conduct in-person and/or telepsychiatry consults depending on site needs.

· Supervise and mentor clinical team members on behavioral health best practices.

· Deliver educational sessions to staff and facility partners as needed.

· Green Card or US Citizen only, we cannot sponsor for this role.

Requirements:

· Board Certification in Psychiatry (Required).

· Certification or significant experience in Addiction Medicine (Preferred or required based on candidate background).

· Ability to obtain a Valid medical license in Michigan.

· Familiarity with psychotropic prescribing in geriatric and medically complex population.

· Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical leadership skills.

· Additional board certifications preferred but not mandatory.

· Valid medical license in Michigan.

· Experience in long-term care facilities preferred (Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living) a plus.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and bedside manner.

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

Schedule:

· 8-hour shift. 

· Monday to Friday, weekend coverage shared across team.
