Neurologist - Stroke

FELLOWSHIP-TRAINED STROKE NEUROLOGIST

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is searching for a stroke neurologist to join the network’s employed faculty practice. The LVHN neurology practice has grown to 24 physicians and 12 APCs. The stroke neurologist will be part of 5 stroke neurologist’s doing inpatient/outpatient/tele-neuro rotation, supported by physician assistants/nurse practitioners as well as neuro-intensivists.

We recently started a neurology residency with a full complement of residents by 2018. The group shares responsibility for teaching residents and medical students. Several members of the practice have busy, active research careers, if that is your interest. 

LVHN has the region’s only neuroscience intensive care unit, established programs in neuro-oncology and complex spine conditions and advanced neurovascular treatments, and a stroke telemedicine service. The group covers 11 telestroke sites. We have been certified from the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center since 2012. Gold Plus elite certification by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. Over 1,500 stroke case are admitted each year to LVHN making it one of the busiest stroke services in the nation. The hospital has 24-hour coverage for rapid response to traumatic brain injury and potential stroke patients as well as fellowship trained neuro-interventional radiologists.
