Job Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to a diverse patient population.
- Manage acute and urgent conditions across all ages in a fast-paced yet supportive ER.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, specialists, and hospital administration.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to enhance patient outcomes.
- Document patient encounters efficiently using Meditech EMR.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong clinical acumen in emergency medicine, with proficiency in triage, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions and team collaboration.
- Ability to work autonomously in single-coverage shifts while maintaining high standards of care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Meditech.
- Effective decision-making under pressure in low-acuity, non-trauma environments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications
- Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
- Active NJ medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
- At least 2-3 years of post-residency experience preferred; new grads with strong training considered.
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required.
