  • Patient Volume: Approximately 12,000 annual visits – steady and predictable for focused patient care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to a diverse patient population.
  • Manage acute and urgent conditions across all ages in a fast-paced yet supportive ER.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, specialists, and hospital administration.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Document patient encounters efficiently using Meditech EMR.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong clinical acumen in emergency medicine, with proficiency in triage, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work autonomously in single-coverage shifts while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Meditech.
  • Effective decision-making under pressure in low-acuity, non-trauma environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
  • Active NJ medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • At least 2-3 years of post-residency experience preferred; new grads with strong training considered.
  • ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required.
